Karachi Kings Overcame Peshawar Zalmi By Five Wickets On Sunday

Shiny bowling, Karachi Kings overcame Peshawar Zalmi by five wickets on Sunday at Dubai International Stadium.
Kings chased their 132-athlete target by 19.4 overs. Zalmi's bowling made the chase, apparently safe, a bit difficult for the Kings, leading the match to the final, but the captain, Imad Wasim, sealed the victory for Kings with two balls to spare.
A late attack from Dwayne Smith, including fast limits at the end, gave Zalmi a fighting chance after Peshawar's batting order collapsed in the face of bowling and aggressive placement by Karachi Kings.
Zalmi lost 8 wickets for 79 runs before Smith took command and helped Zalmi score 48 in the last four doubles and give Kings a fight target to win.
This was Peshawar Zalmi's second lowest total in any PSL match, the lowest result being 126 against Islamabad United in Dubai on February 21, 2016.
Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Irfan took two wickets each, three of Zalmi's scouts left after being exhausted.

Quetta Gladiators Won Nine Wickets Against Lahore Qalandars

Quetta Gladiators won nine wickets against Lahore Qalandars in the second game of the tournament held at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday.
Muhammad Nawaz and Jofra Archer played their vital role in winning the Gladiators' victory. Nawaz has launched the most economical spell in the history of the Pakistan Super League. Her bowling stats tonight were: two wickets in four overs with a maiden while giving only four runs. Archer took three wickets in 4 overs spell.
Speaking at the post-match presentation, Nawaz said: "My plan was not to make room for the scouts and to maintain a good line and length. I want to make the best bowling prize in this PSL." Gladiator openers, Asad Shafiq and Shane Watson, left no stone to rule the game everywhere during the battles. Where Watson took charge, Shafiq helped him turn the strike frequently. The partnership between the pair ended in 11.4 overs when the team score was in 92 runs.
Watson (66) was dared by Sunil Narine. He scored five fours and six each.

Peshawar Zalmi Beat Islamabad United By 34 Runs

Umaid Asif and Ibtisam Sheikh took Peshawar Zalmi for a 34-scores win against Islamabad United at Dubai International Stadium on Saturday. For Zalmi, Asif got four wickets while Sheikh three, while defending PSL champions dominated Misbah XI in every aspect of the match.
Kamran Akmal and Tamim Iqbal laid the groundwork for the team's heats, pushing the field and scoring 176 for the loss of six wickets in the 20 overs allowed. The innings saw Akmal score 53 of 32 deliveries and Tamim Iqbal with 39 of 29 balls.
Faheem Ashraf was the choice of the United bowlers claiming two wickets. Rumman Raees is leading Islamabad United as Misbahul Haq is resting after a hamstring injury today, according to Cricinfo. This is the fourth game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018.

Second Innings
United’d Chadwick Walton, Luke Ronchi, Asif Ali and Hussian Talat leave early, while XI Misbah hit a serious problem in their first match.
Zalmi lost to newcomers Multan Sultans in the opening game of the tournament on Thursday as Sultans, playing their first PSL, defeated Darren Sammy's XI by seven wickets.

Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars

The Quetta Gladiators will face the Qalandars of Lahore in the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League to be held in Dubai. Both teams will play their second match in the competition. This match will be held in Dubai as previous matches and will be played on February 24th. The match will start at 21:30 PST (16:00 GMT).
Both teams, Quetta and Lahore, are losing their losses in their opening match and hope to reverse in this second match. Unfortunately for one of these two teams, this will lead to another defeat and make their qualifying task for the playoffs much more difficult.
What is very interesting to watch is that the Qalandars would have a solid batting formation, but they were scored in their opening match by the Sultans of Multan by 43 points - a huge margin in this format of the game.
Disappointing Lahore captain Brendon McCullum would be the fact that, despite the presence of bowlers like Raza Hasan, Shaheen Afridi, Sunil Narine, Mustafizur Rahman and Yasir Shah, they watched the Sultans at 179 in their 20 overs - a high score for a land in Dubai.
In response, they were eliminated for 136 with captain McCullum being fired for a duck and only Fakhar Zaman scored a 49.
Quetta's story was something similar but at least they managed to limit their opposition, Karachi Kings to 149/9 in their 20 overs. At one point, it seemed like the Kings would arrive at 160, but Shane Watson grabbed a three-iron and did not allow them to even touch 150.
The Gladiators did not have the kind of stick performance they needed on slow ground to overtake them. They fell to 15/3 and never really recovered with only Umar Ami's 31 and Mohammad Nawaz's 30 guiding them to any form of respectability.
Now in this match, the Qalandars are hoping their hitters and bowlers are both fine, while the Gladiators hope to improve their batting department.

Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi

The Islamabad United team will face Peshawar Zalmi's match in the fourth game of the Pakistan Super League 2018. This match will be held in Dubai as the previous three matches and will be played on February 24th. The match will start at 4:00 am PST (11:30 GMT).
Misbah ul Haq led the Islamabad United team to a title victory in the first season of the Pakistan Super League, but the team lost some ground in the second edition last year. They had a reasonable group stage in which they finished with eight points from their eight stipulated games, the same number of points they had won in the first season, but that unfortunately did not allow them to finish in the first two.
What that meant was that they just had an opportunity to advance in the playoffs, but they were stopped in this playoff by the Karachi Kings. Islamabad United, under Misbah again, hopes they can change that around this year.
It would be interesting to see who leads the United stick in this match as some of their players still play international cricket. Alex Hales, for example, is involved with England in their tour in New Zealand while JP Duminy leads South Africa in a T20 series against India that ends Saturday, a day before that match.
Andre Russell is back after a doping ban and he will have Shadab Khan for the company, while Mohammad Sami and Rumman Raees will lead the bowling attack.
Peshawar Zalmi had a strong performance / depressing performance against the Multan Sultans in their opening match. We expected them to win against first-timers and that's exactly what they did / they fell dramatically in this game.
